Scholarships awarded by groups external to ABAC


Please note: these scholarships have separate applications and differing deadlines.  Please pay close attention to all instructions.

Maria Guadalupe Cervantes Memorial Scholarship

(This scholarship is distinct from the endowed scholarship of the same name available through the ABAC Foundation listed above.)

Georgia residents of Hispanic/Latino descent who may not qualify for State or Federal Aid may be eligible for this scholarship.  First preference is to high school graduates with a GPA of 2.5 or greater.  Students with GEDs will be given consideration.

Dorminy Medical Center Auxiliary Scholarship

Available only to residents of Ben Hill County, this scholarship is available for the last one to two years of study in the medical field.  Applicants may pursue an A.D., B.S.N., or diploma.  Reimbursements are made for books and tuition, not to exceed $500, when receipts and grades are submitted to the committee chairman.

Georgia HERO Scholarship

The Georgia HERO Scholarship Program provides scholarship assistance to members of the Georgia National Guard and to U.S. Military Reservists who have served in combat zones, and to the children and spouses of such members.

J. Fielding Reed Scholarship

This scholarship is available for students pursuing a degree in agronomy, horticulture, ecology, soil fertility, soil chemistry, plant physiology, or other areas related to soil fertility and plant nutrition.
