ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY

 

Position Title:             Mentor, Enrollment Services

 

Description:               

This full time, twelve month position reports to the Coordinator of Student Services.  This position is responsible for:

 

·         Providing a student-centered continuum of information and services to students from application to graduation

·         Providing services and guidance in admissions, registrar, financial aid, housing, and other areas to prospective, new, current, and returning students as well as the general public and ABAC faculty and staff

·         Assisting in organizing campus visits and student orientation programs

·         Facilitating communication between faculty and students as needed

 

 

Qualifications:              Candidate must be a self-starter who is capable of excelling in a goal-oriented environment.  Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in a field of study contained in the school whose students the Mentor is assigned; master’s degree preferred.  Academic experience is desirable.  A successful candidate must have a commitment to the design and delivery of outstanding customer service. Other important qualifications include knowledge of areas where service will be provided as well as problem solving skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills.

 

Salary:                              Commensurate with education and experience

Location:                          Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC), a four-year state college located in Tifton, Georgia, offers an array of majors, including a bachelor of art and a bachelor of science in rural studies, two bachelor of applied science programs, 41 college transfer programs, and 14 two-year career technology majors.
