DIVISION OF NURSING AND HEALTH SERVICES

 

INSTRUCTOR/ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN NURSING

 

 

POSITION TITLE:                       Abraham Baldwin College, a two year unit of the University System of Georgia, is seeking applications for the position of instructor/assistant professor in Nursing

 

DESCRIPTION:                         This is a ten month temporary appointment available in the Nursing Program.  Duties include participation in instructing and coordinating nursing courses each semester, student advisement, committee assignments and other duties associated with the advancement of nursing, the division and the college.  Clinical experiences may include but are not limited to acute, sub acute, extended care, home health care and hospice. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:                    1. Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Nursing with specialty track of Maternal/Child, Community Health or Family Health Nurse Practitioner  required. Formal experience teaching nursing at the Registered nurse level  and  clinic experience as a Nurse Practitioner highly desirable.

2.  Demonstrate a commitment to quality instruction and a student oriented approach.  The successful candidate must demonstrate competence in written and oral communication.

3.  Hold a current valid, unrestricted license as a registered nurse / advance practice nurse in the State of Georgia.

 

SALARY:                                   $45,000
